Austenitic stainless steel is non-magnetic stainless steel which is extremely durable for forming and welding and have a good working temperature range from the low cryogenic temperatures to the high furnace temperatures.
They contain manly chromium and nickel and are priced according to their respective contents. The chemical composition of these two primary elements are dependent on the end use and application which also determines the cost the material.
